Building a commercial timber frame can be good for business, and we hope that’ll be the case for the timber frame porch we’re crafting for River Ridge Meats new processing facility in Grayson County, VA.
5 Questions for Brantley Ivey (River Ridge Manager)
Why are you building this facility?
It’s a big step toward vertically integrating our operations. For over ten years we’ve depended on contractors to prepare, package, and further process our grass-fed beef from River Ridge Land and Cattle Company. And it brings us one step closer to fulfilling our mission of keeping dollars in our local community.
So what will you make in the new building?
Both fresh and further processed beef for Grayson Natural Farms.
When will the building be completed?
Early May…2017 (laughing)
Who are the key players, besides you?
Gary Mitchell and Charlotte Hanes.
What are you most excited about?
The new porch…and how this facility takes us one step closer to fulfilling our mission of keeping more dollars in our local community.
