Whether you call them Pool Pavilions, Pool Cabanas, or Pool Houses…we’ve been a part of some pretty amazing outdoor adventures.

Bring the vacation home with a pool pavilion on your property! A new pool structure – some call it a cabana – delivers so much more than the convenience of a changing area, restroom and shower. What used to be the storage room for the pump and chemicals is now chock-full of amenities, and feels a lot like having a second home in the backyard.

What makes pool structures so enticing? Part of the magic is capturing the vacation feeling, creating a sublime indoor-outdoor space for entertaining, dining and pure relaxation. Personalize the experience with the material choices: for a tropical feel, a thatched roof or dark wood-paneled floors. For a classic Mediterranean atmosphere, warm tile finishes with stucco or whitewashed features. And don’t forget the landscaping!  Pull everything together with beautiful plantings to fully establish a cohesive sense of place.

The design depends on how the pool structure is going to be used. Does it incorporate an outdoor kitchen, a bar, lounging areas and a sundeck? Does it need to double as a guest house? Enhance the design with a stylish outdoor shower and covered lounge area where guests can relax in the shade.

Pool pavilion designs are open, airy and breezy – after all, this is an outdoor space for hanging out around the pool. From swanky luxury to rustic simplicity, there are so many inspiring possibilities – a toasty fireplace, lounge seating, or a fabulous outdoor dining area, to mention just a few.

Speaking of outdoor dining areas, we love the look and feel of creating an outdoor dining pavilion as part of the pool house design. Eating al fresco, surrounded by fresh air, a light breeze and a beautiful view is one of life’s greatest simple pleasures. Incorporate the outdoor kitchen or grill and it’s all under one roof. It’s hard to beat the open-air dining pavilion – even if only for a quiet place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, and create the pool house that you imagine: this is the opportunity to turn inspiration into reality.
